In 2011, Utah State University’s Office of International Research underwent major departmental changes and became the Office of Global Engagement. I was asked to redesign the department’s Capabilities Statement – a booklet defining the University’s international cooperation in research and education – so that it accurately conveyed the department’s new mission and responsibilities.
I was solely responsible for designing the layout, updating relevant copy and writing new copy for two focuses added during the restructure. I also interviewed various department heads and University professors on their research abroad in order to write highlighted projects included in each of the seven focus areas.
